What a night! We had a terrific time at Groove For Youth, a concert at The Cabot in Beverly, MA on October 2nd featuring Francoix Simard and Friends. This concert served as a benefit for Silver Lining Mentoring and the Bourque Family Foundation.
Silver Lining Mentoring CEO Colby Swettberg spoke about the realities youth in foster face and how mentoring makes a difference in their lives. Boston hockey legend Ray Bourque took the stage to express his gratitude to Francoix, Silver Lining Mentoring, and the audience for showing up for young people in the Greater Boston area.
Francoix Simard treated the crowd of over 200 people to a diverse repertoire of brilliant covers from blues and rock to country and pop. Francoix was be joined by singer Jacyn Tremblay (Three Second Chances) and keyboardist John Savannah (Squeeze, Tina Turner, Van Morrison), and others. Lauren Mahoney, winner of the Seabrook Idol Season 2, kicked the night off with a set of powerful renditions of moving classics.
We’re honored to have been recognized alongside the Bourque Family Foundation and grateful to Francoix and everyone who attended. We’d especially like to thank Silver Lining champions Elaine and Richard Spenceley for their generosity in making this night possible.
