Morgan Armitage
Morgan was encouraged to take up running as a way to manage her type 1 diabetes by a close friend and mentor. She recognizes that she would not be where she is in life without amazing people who have mentored and supported her. Morgan is excited to join in Silver Lining Mentoring’s work to offer mentoring relationships to youth in foster care.

Branden Getchell
Branden found himself in a number of foster homes as a child where he was separated from his four siblings and shuffled through a number of school districts. It wasn’t until he found stability in his final foster home and met strong mentors that he was able to prepare for and seize so many life altering opportunities.

Elisa Sutherland
Elisa has been a runner since middle school, but when she suffered her first multiple sclerosis attack, she was numb from the waist down and lost the ability to walk. She slowly learned to walk again, and eventually to run. All of this would not have been possible without the people in her life. Elisa reflects that it is so hard to ask for help and we feel strong when we can do things by ourselves, but learning to ask for help brings a whole different level of strength.

Natasha Walth
Natasha knows firsthand how relevant Silver Lining Mentoring’s mission is, as she grew up in a family that took in foster children. Natasha is Chair of Silver Lining Mentoring’s Board of Ambassadors and ran the 2015 Boston Marathon for Silver Lining Mentoring.
